I have had no luck with ebay. i tried to sell some really nice jewelry. I don't believe they are interested in beaded jewelry much. I acually went to a ebay store in chesterton,IN. and they will not take any jewelry unless it is gold or sterling silver. I just have gold and silver plated clasps. the rest is beaded. I did try selling a necklace with gemstones on ebay that looked exactly like one that had sold on there, with a sterling silver clasp, but it didnt sell. I also tried Craigs list, and all I got in return was scammers, and people wanting me to sell my gold or silver for cash. I think I will try ebay one more time because I did improve my pictures. I have my stuff on etsy and artfire too,and can not sell anything to save my life.  Although I have sold my jewelry on a barter site-over $18,000 worth. And I've has a few cash sales from people I know. This is really a neat site, and I cant even imagine how people are making some of their jewelry. It seems people have some real tecnical knowledge on how to make stuff.  You people are amazing!!!  I can only dream of doing what you have done!

Hi there,  I had no luck with eBay either.  I sold really well my first few weeks on Etsy, and then nothing.  I need to try it again though.  I agree that we have featured some incredibly talented artists on the blog.  I wish I had a fraction of their technical ability!

I would agree that selling on eBay is difficult.  Honestly, I'd only use eBay if I was trying to get rid of old inventory.  If you're selling jewelry wholesale, eBay might be a good choice. But if you're an artisan who handcrafts your wares, I don't think I'd choose eBay for the venue.

I don't think that I could sell anything on ebay if I gave it away for free.

ebay is great if you want people to get your jewelry and do a "charge back" ... or as I like to call it "scam you"
